Build a sustainable program of generous, strategic, long-term partners that will enable New Story to build transformative communities on autopilot each year.

Historically, New Story donors or corporate partners that give to homes are making one-time donations. We’ve never had a subscription-based, unique membership program. As we head into our 5th year, we are changing that, and we’re focused on making “home and community” fundraising a recurring membership program.

Having a program that’s funding communities on autopilot will enable us to focus more on improvements, forecasting, and proving innovations in our communities that we’ll then share with the sector. Our goal is to grow the recurring membership program from <30 to 300+ annual members, with an annual recurring revenue of $2.5M, by the end of 2019. You’ll be on our marketing team, and will own making this happen.

At New Story, we never use the word, “employee.” You’re a builder and owner with the mentality of a founder.

  • Key responsibility: owning a membership sign-up quota in 2019
  • Working with our CEO, Chief Brand Officer and the Brand team on strategy and improvements to the program
  • Ensuring excellent experiences (events, trips, content, etc.) for members
  • Annual retention of members and ensuring payments are made
  • Working with the Brand and Ops teams to deliver new content for all members
The Must Haves
  • Unquestionable alignment with New Story’s core values
  • An entrepreneurial spirit to build a new program, and previous success in building a program, movement, special project or new venture
  • 3+ years of experience in business development or sales that produced exceptional results
  • Ability and desire to travel about once a month to mostly LA, NYC, SEA, CHI, ATL, SF, and to Haiti, El Salvador, and Mexico
  • Proven track record of working well in a collaborative team setting and resourcefulness to help outside of your role
  • Unwavering determination and work ethic to be the best possible version of yourself and to intentionally grow as a leader
  • An incredibly high level of self-discipline and winning daily habits
