ABOUT THE JOB
As Impact Operations Senior Associate, you will oversee New Story projects with our home-building partners. Working closely with the Global Operations Program Manager, you will make sure that our projects are executed at a high level of excellence and structural integrity. You’ll identify opportunities to simplify and create new processes that enable alignment, effective systems, and strong communication across multiple stakeholders including our local partners and internal New Story teams. You’ll build systems to make sure our partnerships are models of efficiency and transparency and position our program to achieve maximum impact today and over time.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
- Developing and managing housing projects with Local Partners + Construction Teams
- Tracking and communicating construction progress, budgets, and costs to internal and external teams
- Organizing community and family information in our internal systems for use by our Impact Data Team
- Managing workshops and/or partnerships with other organizations to address community needs outside of housing construction
- Contributing to overall Impact strategy
YOU MUST HAVE…
- 2-5 years experience in the housing sector, construction management, project management or related fields
- Professional fluency in both Spanish and English (required)
- A critical eye for details and obsessive organization skills while managing multiple systems, projects, and priorities
- Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking skills to identify system inefficiencies, anticipate challenges and gaps, and contingency plans accordingly
- A strong balance for empathy and high standard of excellence
- Courage to challenge the status quo
- A strong interest in traveling at least twice per quarter (when travel is permitted based on current COVID-19 situation)
IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU HAVE…
- Experience working in Mexico
- International Development Experience
- Experience in data analysis, data warehousing, or data architecture
- Experience working in financial services and/or developing financial models
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign, or Illustrator
