We have built an all-star team of skilled, passionate people. We look for a unique blend of insane talent & incredible humility. But we need your help to find twice as many people as we currently have! We need a strong, experienced internal recruiter.

New Story is on a mission to build a system by which 1,000,000 million people enter safe homes. This has never been done before quite like this. It will require the best and brightest minds, which is why we need someone to help us find them.

We are looking for somebody with a high standard of excellence and a proven track record of building high performing teams. We hire roles for fundraisers, operations, software engineering, and much more.

Our ideal candidate for this role needs to be comfortable adjusting to changing needs of a growing business. Roles and requirements often evolve real-time, requiring expectations or needs to shift. We have a sense of urgency around our mission and prefer a default to action.

Responsibilities

  • Find and attract the most qualified applicants for open roles.
  • Increasing the diversity of qualified applicants.
  • Reviewing and qualifying applicants before initiating further interview process.
  • Running the hiring process (alongside the hiring mangers) and providing a remarkable experience for applicants (both qualified and disqualified).
  • Collaborate with our hiring managers to create job descriptions and interview flows for new roles.
  • Source top-level talent from diverse online resources
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the interview process in a way that is warm, friendly and professional.
  • Track candidates in our Applicant Tracking System.
  • Manage scheduling and logistics throughout the entire interview cycle.
  • Answer candidates’ questions and provide interview feedback, when appropriate.
  • Interview candidates during initial stages
  • Report to hiring managers on statuses of open positions
  • Determine qualification criteria for each position

Must-Haves

  • Experience running hiring process for 6-8 roles simultaneously.
  • Experience increasing the volume of candidates applying to roles.
  • Comfortable operating within medium-high ambiguity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with different selection processes, such as reference checks and phone interviews
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Familiar with applicant tracking systems
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Location.

This opportunity is flexible on location with a slight preference for candidates based in Atlanta.

  • Adoption Reimbursement. For families who are willing to adopt, thank you! New Story will reimburse eligible team members up to $10,000 for adoption related expenses.
  • Team Summits. Every 6 months we have a full team summit where we have fun, reflect, and plan for the upcoming quarter. Past trips have been in Tahoe, CA and Whidbey Island, WA.
